WATCH: DOGE Digs Up, Recovers $1.9 Billion “Misplaced” by Biden Administration

Lee Zeldin and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) reportedly recovered billions of dollars allegedly misplaced by the Biden Administration, prompting conservative praise and criticism of Biden’s alleged corruption. In a February 21, 2025, Fox News interview, EPA Director Zeldin detailed DOGE’s efforts to eliminate waste in the Environmental Protection Agency, focusing on misappropriated funds. He referenced a Biden appointee’s video discussing reckless disposal of Titanic gold bars and urgent pre-Inauguration fund disbursements. Zeldin confirmed the gold bars were located, and $20 billion was transferred to

a bank, but oversight issues led to eight entities receiving funds without full EPA accountability. He highlighted $50 million granted to a climate justice group and $160 million to a Canadian electric bus manufacturer, which went bankrupt after receiving full payment upfront, failing to deliver $95 million in buses to 55 school districts. Zeldin emphasized the EPA’s “Great American Comeback Initiative” under Trump, prioritizing clean air, land, and water.
