Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter Dies At 100 In Front Of His Family – His Son Speaks Out
Jimmy Carter, the 39th U.S. president and 2002 Nobel Peace Prize recipient, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2024, at 100, at his home in Plains, Georgia. Surrounded by family, he was the longest-lived U.S. president.
Carter is survived by four children, 11 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Rosalynn, and one grandchild. His son Chip described him as a hero who united people through shared beliefs in peace and human rights.
Public tributes will be held in Atlanta and Washington, D.C., with a private interment in Plains. Carter’s legacy of service and compassion will continue to inspire future generations.
