It’s been a rough few years for Simon Cowell, but he’s now confirmed what we all suspected about his son. I don’t care what you think about the man himself, but this must have been an extremely hard decision.

Over two years, Simon Cowell suffered two bicycle accidents, resulting in significant health issues. In 2020, an e-bike crash in Malibu broke his back, requiring surgery with metal rods and screws. In 2022, a London accident caused a concussion and a broken arm, necessitating a wrist brace for months.
Appearing on the Today Show with America’s Got Talent judges Howie Mandel, Terry Crews, and Heidi Klum, Simon discussed these incidents. In a promotional video for the show’s 18th season, he reflected, “I wasn’t in great shape before the accidents, but the recovery showed me how unfit I really was. It was a revelation.” Despite the setbacks, he remains passionate about biking, stating, “I’m not giving up on my bike.”
The accidents prompted lifestyle changes, inspired by his fiancée, Lauren Silverman, and their son, Eric, born in 2014. Simon shared with The Sun that his back injury led him to therapy, as he struggled to engage with Eric. His son humorously compared him to Iron Man due to his surgical hardware, a moment Simon cherished.
Despite the challenges, Simon maintains his humor and enthusiasm for life, even joking about his injuries on AGT when discussing a Shaolin Kung Fu act with Terry Crews. His resilience shines through as he continues to embrace biking and fatherhood.
