At 74, Jay Leno plans for death, leaving a portion of wealth to vehicles – “no one lives forever.

Jay Leno, 74, former Tonight Show host and car enthusiast, is planning his estate, including a major donation to an automobile museum. After hosting Jay Leno’s Garage (2015–2022), with 3.7 million YouTube followers, he survived a 2022 garage fire and a motorcycle accident. Leno, married to Mavis since 1980, became her conservator in 2024 due to her dementia. He’s set up the Leno Marital Trust for his $52 million car collection, which will fund a museum via the JDM Foundation after their deaths. Leno will also leave $7 million to Mavis’ brother and his nephew. They plan to stay home with carers as needed.
