A Honeymoon Surprise
As soon as the newlyweds returned from their honeymoon, the young bride called her mother, who lived a couple of hours away. “How did everything go?” her mom asked. “Oh, mother,” she began, “the honeymoon was wonderful—so romantic! We had the best time exploring the beaches and dining under the stars. But when we got back, I noticed something odd. John kept sneaking
off to make phone calls, and I overheard him mention ‘a surprise for next week.’ I’m worried he’s hiding something! Should I confront him?” Her mother chuckled softly. “Sweetheart, he’s probably planning something special for you—maybe an anniversary surprise. Give him a chance to show you. Trust him.” The bride sighed, feeling a mix of nerves and excitement. “Okay, I’ll wait,” she said, hoping her mother was right, her heart fluttering at the thought of what her new husband had in store.
