AITA FOR DENYING MY EX HIS ‘SON’ AFTER HE ABANDONED
US AND I TOOK THE CHOICE ALONE TO GIVE HIM UP FOR ADOPTION? – RS
I’m 32 now, but when I was 16, I had a baby boy. My boyfriend, Nick, bailed with help from his family, saying he needed to focus on college athletics. After lots of thought, I chose adoption—abortion wasn’t for me. My parents knew a wonderful couple, Anna and David, who were hoping to adopt. They supported me through everything, and I’ve stayed in the child’s life as a “special aunt.”
Now I’m married to Ethan, who has two kids. I’m especially close with his son, Noah. A few months ago, I took Noah to an appointment and ran into Nick, who thought Noah was “our son.” I corrected him and moved on. Since then, he’s been messaging me, saying I robbed him of fatherhood. Some of his relatives have called me a “bad Christian” (I’m Jewish), but I stand by my choice.
Am I really the bad guy here?
