Airbnb Nightmare: Camera Confusion and Owner’s Outburst

I found a camera in our Airbnb bedroom at midnight. My husband covered it, and we slept. At 2 a.m., the owner burst in, yelling it was for street surveillance, not us. He was paranoid from local thefts and admitted to obsessively monitoring it. We left shaken, posted a warning review, and later learned other guests faced similar intrusions. His explanation didn’t justify the privacy violation.
