My SIL Demanded I Buy Her Kids New Phones After Theirs Fell Into the Pool During My Birthday Party—My Neighbor Taught Her a Lesson

I should’ve known my birthday would be a disaster when I caught my niece and nephew plotting. The morning was perfect—fresh hair, flawless makeup, and a dress that made me feel like me.

At the party, Ava and Lily ran wild, nearly pushing my elderly neighbor, Mrs. Thompson, into the pool. Their mom, Jessica, just laughed. Moments later, they tried to shove me in. I stepped aside.

SPLASH.

Jessica shrieked—not for her kids, but their iPhones. “This is your fault!”

The next morning, she texted me an Apple Store link. “Since YOU let them fall, YOU need to replace these.” I laughed. “Don’t even try.”

The next day, she showed up—expecting me to host Ava’s party. I smirked. “Get out.”

She ranted until Mrs. Thompson appeared, phone in hand, showing video proof—her kids had tried to push her, too. Jessica went pale.

The next day, she texted: “Ava’s party was a disaster because of you.”

I sipped my coffee, grinning. “Oh, I am. Thanks for checking.”
