MY WIFE’S “PITY DATE” ADMISSION REVEALED A DARK TRUTH THAT ALMOST DESTROYED OUR MARRIAGE

I never imagined my marriage would crack the day after our honeymoon.

At dinner with Rachel’s friends, Sarah’s offhand remark shattered me: “Oh, Rachel, I still remember that pity date with Alex!”

My heart pounded. Pity date? Rachel paled. “That was a long time ago,” she muttered.

I left, reeling. Had our love been a lie?

The next morning, Rachel knocked, eyes swollen. “At first, I didn’t want to like you,” she admitted. “But I fell—hard. I chose you, Alex. Every day.”

My anger wavered. Love isn’t about a perfect start—it’s about how it endures.

I reached for her hand. “I need time… but I believe you.”

Tears fell. “I don’t want to lose us.”

Neither did I.
