Priscilla Pointer, ‘Dallas’ Actress and Mother of Amy Irving, Dies at 100

Priscilla Pointer, celebrated stage and screen actress, passed away at 100. She died peacefully in her sleep on Monday at an assisted living facility in Ridgefield, Connecticut, as confirmed by her son, director David Irving. Renowned for her role as Rebecca Barnes Wentworth on Dallas and for performing alongside her daughter, Amy Irving, Pointer was also the mother-in-law of Steven Spielberg during his marriage to Irving. Amy paid tribute on social media, sharing photos and writing, “She most definitely will be missed,” hoping her mother had “run off with her two adoring husbands and her many dogs.”
