ICE Denies Sending Agents To Dodger Stadium As Team Makes ‘False’ Claims

On Thursday, the Los Angeles Dodgers claimed they denied U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents access to their parking lots, but ICE refuted this, stating they were never at Dodger Stadium. U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) clarified their vehicles were briefly present for unrelated reasons. Anti-ICE protests occurred outside the stadium, prompting an investigation into their sponsors. Crowds on Demand, a company specializing in protest crowds, declined requests to participate in the Los Angeles anti-ICE demonstrations to avoid illegal activities. Senator Josh Hawley and Representative Kevin Kiley are investigating groups like the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA), suspected of funding the protests. CHIRLA, which received $34 million in government grants, including $2.25 million from the Biden administration, is accused of supporting anti-ICE actions. Hawley warned that funding unrest is not protected speech and demanded organizations cease such activities.
