My Parents Forced My Husband to Leave Me

My parents always wanted a son, not me. I tried to win their love, but nothing worked. When I married Jordan, they loved him more than me. We wanted kids, but I faced fertility issues. IVF was an option, yet my parents called me a failure, and Jordan agreed, eventually divorcing me. At the hearing, my parents supported him, saying I wasn’t a “real woman.” I left with nothing.

But I rebuilt. Therapy, hard work, and savings led me to single motherhood via IVF. I named my daughter Hope—she’s my joy and strength. One day, I ran into my parents and Jordan. They were shocked and wanted to reconnect. I told them, “You don’t deserve her or me.” I walked away, head high. Family is love and choice, and I’ve found mine.
