Sylvester Stallone’s Harrowing Experience Filming “Rocky IV”

In a documentary about “Rocky IV,” Sylvester Stallone revealed he was hospitalized after a powerful hit from Dolph Lundgren, who played Ivan Drago. Stallone compared the blow to a car accident impact, later feeling chest discomfort that escalated into a health scare with his blood pressure hitting 260. He was flown from Canada to St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica, spending four days in ICU. Despite this, Stallone returned to finish the film, unwilling to cut the pivotal scene. “Rocky IV” follows Stallone’s character, Rocky Balboa, as he seeks revenge against Drago for Apollo Creed’s death, highlighting the actor’s dedication to the iconic franchise.
