Prince William reveals that he and Kate Middleton
let their dog Orla sleep in the same bed as them
Kate Middleton and Prince William share a strong love for animals, a trait echoed throughout the Royal Family. In 2011, they welcomed their first dog, Lupo, who became a cherished family member until his passing in 2020. After Lupo’s death, Kate’s brother gifted them a new puppy, Orla, a cocker spaniel who has quickly become beloved by their three children. Prince William recently revealed that Orla often sleeps in their bed at Adelaide Cottage. The couple’s mutual affection for dogs, inherited from Queen Elizabeth II’s fondness for corgis, has been a strong bond between them. Lupo even helped name their son George by choosing his name from scraps of paper. Orla, meaning “golden princess,” is a fitting addition to the royal family.
