Children Forget about Their Father, So He Spends the Night Outdoors in a Wheelchair – Story of the Day

Peter Jackson, a widowed father, dedicated his life to raising his twins, Danielle and Michael. A skilled cabinetmaker, he worked tirelessly to provide them with a top-tier education, sacrificing his own future and retirement savings. After earning scholarships and becoming successful professionals, his children supported him financially but were unwilling to care for him full-time when he suffered a stroke that left him wheelchair-bound. They agreed to share the responsibility, alternating ten-day periods.

Over time, they grew resentful of their father’s condition. When Michael’s wedding anniversary conflicted with his caregiving days, he begged Danielle to take Peter for one night. She refused, leading Michael to leave their father on her porch and drive away.

Danielle ignored his presence, assuming Michael was bluffing. The next morning, she found Peter ice-cold and trembling. Rushed to the hospital, he barely survived. Shocked and ashamed, Danielle and Michael realized the depth of their neglect. By his bedside, they begged for forgiveness and vowed to care for him with love and dedication for the rest of his life.
