Mary is on a business trip in Los Angeles, unaware that her husband, Michael, is having an affair with Lucy, a hotel maid. Michael welcomes Lucy into his room, unaware of her true intentions—revenge.

Just as they get intimate, a knock interrupts them. Mary has returned early. Michael panics, blocking her way, but she pushes past him. To his relief, Lucy has hidden under the bed. When a phone rings beneath it, Michael narrowly avoids exposure.

Later, Mary grows suspicious and demands security footage. Lucy manipulates the recording, and Mary leaves satisfied—for now. Meanwhile, Michael is blackmailed over his affair and siphons money from Mary’s account to pay off the extortionist, unaware it’s Lucy behind it.
